KLCI is currently trading at 992.68 and broke FIBO 23.6% with flattish MACD and overbought RSI.

Both rally shows a few common traits and settings:
•New PM (Tun Abdullah vs Najib)
•Post bubble burst (technology bubble vs property bubble/ credit crunch)
•New slogan (Excellence, glory and distinction vs One Malaysia)
•Opt for change – sentiment and political stability
•Hit double bottom

Will we see another 25-30% rally for this round? The pattern is so similar to the past, furthermore analysts have been talking about 25-30% bear rally for some time, is that possible, what is the magnitude we are expecting from? As KLCI recent trend has formed a rising wedge, by extending the lines further, they will meet at 1072, which is somewhere around 25-30% return region.

Take a look on the possible targets:
25% from 833 = 1041.25 (30pts away from 32.8% FIBO)
30% from 833 = 1082.9 (10pts above 32.8% FIBO)
33% from 833 = 1107.89

The downside would be similar as the previous pattern, back to square 1?

Would the rally reappear? What is the next Scomi that we are looking for? We believe the answer will surface in the next few days.

Early 2003 - SARS ! Now Mexico Pig's turn ?

This morning Dr Marc Faber was on BFM89.9, sharing his view on recent market rally. He believes the global economy is not out of the wood and he thinks that this rally is not sustainable.

He remains opposed to government intervention and suggested that banks should go burst if they are doomed instead of wasting taxpayers money and prints money to throw them into the sea.

Dr Marc Faber believes Asia-Pac region is the next engine growth and we should relook, rethink, and refocus on our business strategy to transform ourselves from export oriented and at the same time, encourage internal demand; reducing the reliance on western countries' demand.

Unexpectedly, CPO jumps RM 150 to RM 2450, testing RM 2500 - RM 2600. Surprisingly i dont see any plantation counters moving, so tomorrow morning probably another gap up, sending CI further up, testing 969.

However, please beware of pull back, anytime from now. The sharp increase of CI might be follow by a percipituos pull back, as there are 4 gaps waiting to be closed, shall the sentiment turn sour.

Stocks to watch:- Lionind, PA, YTLPOWER, DIALOG, TWS

Stocks to avoid:- Johan, GKent (I see imminent correction)

Happy trading.

Dr. Marc Faber, the investment guru, concluded his monthly bulletin (Jan 2009) with the following comments...!!!

"The federal government is sending each of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China. If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs. If we buy a computer, it will go to India. If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car, it will go to Germany and Japan. If we purchase useless crap, it will go to Taiwan. In short, none of it will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in the US.

I've been doing my part....

~ Dr Marc Faber ~
